Then another opportunity presented itself. The corporation had decided to consolidate its client services and they are starting a new call center several miles closer to my daughter than my current job. I have call center management experience and decided to throw my hat in the ring. At the last minute, my boss, Sheriff decided to interview for the job as well. Her interview lasted over an hour and then it was my turn. The way it went I was very certain I was not being seriously considered for the position. Imagine my shock when the VP returned today and offered me the Manager position. It was a wonderful surprise and I was then able to offer CCR positions to several of the remaining pharmacy staff.
I am thrilled. And, I was able to make several other people happy, including Assistant. Yes, I am taking her with me. Sheriff? She will need to continue to interview.
Can you say, "Karma, boys and girls?"

CONGRADULATIONS!!!! Good for you and well done! It's always so great to hear that something good came out of a scary situation.
Unfortunetely I'm with many other Americans here and can not find work to save my life. I bet I have 30, 40 application out....easy. And out of all those applications, a great and truthful resume I have had 2 interviews. Las Vegas is getting hit hard with this economy. It was only a matter of time before it reached us.
But again congradulations I'm so happy for you! Good luck :)
Happy Holidays my friend :)
Huggers,

Wow, what a blessing to slip into another job without missing a beat. The last 6 years before I retired, I worked in the Customer Service Call Center of a large health system here in my town. In all I worked there for 27 years and had 4 different jobs over the years. I really liked the call center but retired about a year early because the supervisor was so horrible (young, mean spirited, bi-polar & very unpredictible.) It was starting to affect my health so I retired, another gal quit & moved to another town and then when the third one quit they outsourced the whole thing to a company in Texas. Best wishes on your new position....Linda in Washington state
congrats Donna!!
